This exhibit showcases inventions and scientific discoveries of Archimedes, the "Father of Modern Science". Archimedes of Syracuse was an Ancient Greek mathematician, physicist, engineer, inventor and astronomer. He is regarded as one of the leading scientists in classical antiquity. He is also considered the greatest mathematician of his time. Take a journey through history and science with a look at the machines of the ancient world. While the concepts are centuries old, many of these ancient technologies have been adapted for use today. With computer-modeled animations, interactive machines and an activity station for ages 3 to 14, this exhibit is designed for all ages.
